The PSG attacker, Kylian Mbappe, beat out Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City and Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona for the illustrious award, given to the best player in Europe under the age of 21. Following an incredible breakout season at Monaco, and a phenomenal start to his career at PSG, many fans aren’t surprised that he received the award.

Many experts believe this is just the beginning for Kylian Mbappe’s career, as he is already known as one of the most potent strikers in the world. Previous recipients of this award are today’s greatest footballers and include Lionel Messi, Wayne Rooney, and Paul Pogba. Each of these players have proven themselves as stunning competitors for club and country. In his 69 appearances for Monaco, PSG, and the French National team, Mbappe has recorded 31 goals at 18 years-old.

Kylian is on loan right now at Paris Saint-Germain, with the club having the option to buy him for a price of €130 million euros next summer. PSG chose to have him on loan this season to apply with financial fair play after smashing the transfer record with their €222 million euro purchase of Brazil’s Neymar. This is just one of the few awards that he is sure to earn throughout his career.
