Staff Spotlight: Mrs. Lupica

Learn more about Mrs. Lupica!

Mrs. Lupica is my math teacher here at Lafayette. Since joining her class I have finally understood math, and I am not alone in this. Mrs. Lupica’s teaching style is immaculate, and helpful for many students. Due to this fact, she is so loved at Lafayette, by all of her students, making her a perfect candidate to receive a staff spotlight. I asked Mrs. Lupica to answer fifteen questions to help everyone get to know her better, as she makes such a big effort to get to know her own students.

3. Why did you become a teacher?
I have always wanted to be a teacher, even as a little girl. I got inspired to become a math teacher in 6th grade. I love being able to show multiple methods to finding a solution to math problems. Becoming a mother has been the biggest challenge and blessing in my life. It is a lot of hard work and has its emotional challenges especially since I work, too. It is difficult balancing work, home, and personal life. I am still overcoming this on a daily basis, but I lean on my support system and ask for help when I need it.
8. Do you have any hobbies, or things you enjoy to do outside of school?
I love drawing anime characters. I also love being near water (pool, beach, etc.)
9. Do you prefer movies or tv?
