The World Series started on October 27 and was the matchup was between the Arizona Diamondback and the Texas Rangers. The opinion of who was supposed to win was made up by the viewer or the fans of either team. In my opinion I thought that the Rangers would win it based on the comparison of the teams. Game 1 was a close matchup; the Rangers threw Nathan Eovaldi who is arguably their ace threw an unexpected 4.2 innings allowing six hits and five runs. The Diamondbacks threw Zach Gallen who is also their ace, they were expecting his absolute best being that it was game 1. He only threw 5 innings, allowing 4 hits and 3 runs. Game one was electric with the Diamondbacks jumping up in the third, fourth, and fifth inning making the game score 5-3 Diamondbacks by the end of the fifth. The Rangers had a two-run deficit going into the bottom of the ninth with Taveras on first and Seager at the plate, first pitch fastball and Seager crushes it to right field tying the game. This put the game into extra innings and in the bottom of the eleventh still a tie game, García steps up and with three balls and one strike he crushes a ball to the right field wall winning the game for the Rangers. 

Now with the Rangers up 1-0 in the series game two was also in Arlington, at the Texas Rangers stadium. The game was nowhere near as exciting as the first game, the Diamondbacks came out on top with a safe 9-1 win over the Rangers. The game started slow, but once the Diamondbacks started scoring, they just couldn’t stop. The series was now tied 1-1. Game three was two days after, giving players a day to travel. Game three was in Arizona at the Diamondbacks stadium. The game was a big game since the series was back at tied and that game three is typically a big momentum driver for the following games. Going into game four they were back in Arizona playing at Chase Field. The pitching matchup looked good for the Rangers; they had one of their more reliable starters throwing. Andrew Heany has been a very dominant thrower for the Rangers and someone they can rely on.

The Diamondbacks had Joe Mantiply on the mound, another reliable pitcher that the Diamondbacks could feed off. The Rangers pulled out early in the top of the second inning scoring five runs and another five in the top of the third. The Diamondbacks had no answer for the first three innings and finally scored one in the fourth. This trend of the Rangers scoring and Diamondbacks having no answer continued throughout the game, leading the Rangers to win 11-7. Game five was a huge game for the Rangers being that they could win their first World Series in franchise history. The game was close and had the same pitching matchup as game one. Until the top of the seventh the game was tied at zeros. The Rangers finally scored one giving them the lead in the game, and the Diamondbacks had no answer in the bottom of the inning. The game proceeded and in the top of the ninth the Rangers put up four more, icing the game and giving them the win. The Rangers had finally won their first World Series in franchise history and the celebration started.
