On February 1st, 2026, at the 68th annual Grammy’s show, Olivia Dean takes the win in a close competition for the “Best New Artist Award”.

The award was presented to her by the 2024 winner, Chappell Roan. Her speech was emotional and she really expressed how her background and heritage motivated her to be so successful. She is the granddaughter of an immigrant and always looked up to her grandma’s work ethic. This beautiful artist is from London. In 2019 a British artist named Dua Lipa won this category; Olivia Dean is the first British to win this award since then.

Even though Olivia was well deserving of the award, there were other talented nominations such as Sombr, Addison Rae, The Marias, Katseye, Leon Thomas, Alex Warren, and Lola Young. In October of 2018, Olivia released her first ever song named “Reasons to Stay” which led her to sign contracts with record labels to become a bigger artist. In 2025, she released her biggest album yet, “The Art of Loving”, this album went viral with over 1 billion streams, this really took off her carrier. Her hit single was “Man I Need”, she performed this song for the audience at the 2026 Grammy’s. This Grammy is in fact the first Grammy she has ever received, however, she was nominated for the Mercury Prize for her debut album called “Messy” and had a sold-out tour for her 2025-2026 Art of Loving tour where she performed in various places in the U.K, Europe, and America. Olivia is expected to continue making lovable music, fans are eager to hear what she curates next. She is loved by many and has a great fan base that cheer her on and want to see her continue to succeed.
