History of Rams vs. Lions
The Rams have a long history of beating Warhill year after year, and it appears that this is not going to change this year. Last season, Lafayette basketball ended with a record of 19-1 in the regular season. Their season ended on a heartbreaking loss to Lake Taylor High School. The Rams faced Warhill twice last season winning both of their matchups by a very large margin. They first played the Lions in their third game of the year and were heavy favorites to easily win by double-digits. Both games between the Rams and Lion ended in Lafayette’s favor by over 25 points each. The first game at Warhill High School ended in a final score of 74-40 and the second game at Lafayette High School had a final score of 66-37.
2023-2024 Season
Lafayette now sits at 4-1 after beating the Lions with a final score of 72-47 on December 11th. The Rams entered the matchup with a record of 3-1 suffering a tough loss to Norfolk Collegiate 108-58 on The 9th of December. There were two notable players who both played well in the game against Warhill last week. Quez Garrett had a great game finishing with 24 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists. Another notable player was Asa Fehrenbach with 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 7 assists.
