Nottingham Forest have had an exciting start to their second season back in the Premier League. They are currently sitting at 8th in the Premier League table. If Forest can win their next match they could move up to 6th.  Although this isn’t perfect, it could definitely be a lot worse. They are definitely all but safe from relegation and even looking at possibly playing in Europe.

Forest’s second season back has been somewhat smooth sailing. They are currently on their way to a mid-table finish, which would have excited any fan if you told them at the beginning of the campaign.

Last season Nottingham brought in the most signings of any club. They also set a Premier League record. These players are merging together and are starting to play like a team. This has largely contributed to their recent success.

Forest are also looking forward to players returning from injury. Danilo has recently returned to training after his season long injury. Ryan Yates is also back. These are two players that could fill a starting role and raise the level for Forest.

In recent matches Forest have come up against Manchester United, Burnley, and Chelsea. These three results could have hardly been more different.

This image showcases a dissatisfied Clark. He’s upset with Manchester United’s most recent performances. They conceded 3 goals to an excited Brighton side.

In the match against Man U, Forest were definitely the underdogs. They were planning to be dominated. They knew it would be troublesome to keep possession. They planned against doing so for this reason. They knew that against a team like City, they would have to play counter attacking football. They almost used this plan to perfection. They played to a 3-2 loss against one of the most established clubs in the world. The next week would be much more pleasant for Forrest.

After a semi-successful match against Man U, Forest seems to have forgotten that they were in the topflight. They assumed Burnley would be a cake walk. They couldn’t have been more wrong. From the jump Forest were playing a lack luster match. You could say they looked off color. Neither team scored in the first half. That said, a goal for one of the sides was definitely to come. That side was not originally Forest. A goal from Burnley’s Amdouni came in the 41st minute. At this point, Forest had a change of heart. They ended up scoring an equalizer in the 61st minute. They needed three points against Chelsea.

This graphic shows a before and after of a Liverpool fan. The fans are ecstatic with a recent win over Wolverhampton Wanderers. Before this season they were far from it. This season has been a great one for them.

Forest went into this match with a bad taste in their mouth. Despite this hunger, they gave up an early pen. Chelsea missed! The next to strike was, Anthony Elanga. Forest had momentum and they needed to use it. This momentum continued on for the rest of the match. Chelsea needed a goal. Unluckily, Chelsea wasn’t on their game that day. Forest passed their way through the midfield time and time again. It looked so easy for them. This game would go on to be an exciting 1-0 win for Forest. Chelsea couldn’t seem to find a winner. This win would prove to be exciting for forest.

As Forest looks forward, their upcoming matches look like really tough ones. They play two strong sides. They play a 1st and 11th place team. They play City, who are always at the top of the league table. They also play Brentford, who are also a tall task. They need early-season points, but this will be a tough couple of matches to get them in.

Forest have played 5 of their 38 matches. As they look forward, there is still much to play for. The league is tight this season, as all of the big clubs are finding success. Anything can happen on any week. This has likely been the most exciting season yet.
