Hello, my name is Austen Townsend, LHS baseball player.  LHS Baseball has undergone a lot of changes with its new head coach, as well as a new assistant coach-with that. This year we’ve changed things up, including winter workouts in New Kent, as well as honoring veterans by putting wreaths on their graves to celebrate Christmas. As for Lafayette baseball, we look to be a lot better as we strive to make improvements in each practice.

This year we plan on playing an excellent Rappahannock team for an out-of-district game at our home field at the WISC. Last year we lost them 7 to 4 and 20 to 1. This year things are going to be different, as we are going to try to capitalize on our mistakes instead of beating ourselves down. We look forward to making our Christmas album to support our teams as a fundraiser, as well as going door-to-door to businesses to see if they would like to sponsor LHS baseball. If you’re available any Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, we play at the WISC, come on out and support our Lafayette baseball team!
