Meet Channing Wynne she is our cheerleading coach and cafe manager here at Lafayette High School. Shes been a huge influence here at Lafayette since 2011 and without further ado lets learn a little bit more about here!

INTERVIEW

Q: What do you do here?

A: I am the cafe manager and head cheerleading coach.

Q:Why did you come to LHS and how long have you been here?

A: I came to LHS after many years in restaurant management. The long hours and missing out on so many of my sons extracurricular activities lead me to seek a job with evenings and weekends off for more family time.  I have been at LHS sine 2011.

Q: Did you go to college? If so which one?

A: I did not go to college.  I attended the Lafayette School of practical nursing before I decided to switch career paths.

Q: Why did you decide to do what you do here?

A: I love food and young people. I have worked as a manager in food service most of my adult life and I have cheered or coached cheer since I was in middle school, so working at LHS afforded me the great opportunity to do both.

Q: What do you love about your job?

A: I love being able to do both things that I truly have a passion for. Food and Cheer!

Q: What is your ideal vacation?

A: My ideal vacation is anyplace with sand, water and sun.  I love a good breeze coming off the water on a nice warm day.

Q: Cats or dogs?

A: I guess if I had to choose, I would say dog.  I am not a pet owner.

Q: Movies or TV?

A: I love both.  I enjoy a night out to see a movie, but I also love binge watching my fav T.V. shows.
