Welcome to Staff Spotlight! Today we have the great Ms. Jones. We asked her a few interview questions about her job here.

Where are you from originally?

I was born in Newport News,  Virginia. However, I was raised here in Williamsburg Virginia.

How long have you been a registrar, and how long at LHS?

I have been a registrar for 5 years. I previously was employed with Hampton Public Schools before joining the Ramily. I have been at Lafayette for 3 years.

What college did you attend?

I attended Old Dominion University where I received my Bachelors in Economics and International Business.

What subject(s) do you teach?

N/A

Why did you become a Registrar?

I became a Registrar to build rapport with all, assist students/ families and to also to add diversity to those in my position.

What are your hobbies?

My hobbies are karaoke singing, painting, and doing adventurous activities on my bucket list like ziplining, INDOOR skydiving, horseback riding, and parasailing.

What’s your favorite cheese?

My favorite cheese is Gouda. Goes well in Mac and Cheese.

When you were in High School, what was your dream job?

My dream job when I was in High School was to become a music recording label owner, branch off to have a clothing line,  and restaurants. I basically wanted multiple streams of income.
