Wanting the picture to have a French feel, Ms. Moore requested we take a picture in front of her French bulletin.

Meet Ms. Moore! She is the French teacher at Lafayette Highschool! Did you know she is the only French teacher? And that she is in charge of the French Honors Society? Ms. Moore also enjoys baking, travelling, and the language of French.

INTERVIEW

Q–How many years have you taught at LHS?

A– “I’ve been teaching here at Lafayette 14 years. It was spilt years, I was here 2003 to 2007 and then I was here again since 2014.”

Q–Where are you from originally?

A– “I’m originally from Northeast Ohio. From Hudson, a little town South of Cleveland. I came here after living in Pittsburg for a while.”

Q–What subject do you teach?

A– “I teach French 1 through AP.”

Q–Where did you go to college?

A– “I went to Miami University of Ohio, and then I got my masters degree at University of Pittsburgh.”

Q–Why did you become a teacher?

A– “I’ve always loved teaching and I did business for a while and ironically I was pushing papers but i wanted to work more with people. I loved traveling and French.”

Q–What’s your favorite color M&M?

A– “Blue, just cause I like blue.”

Q–What’s your favorite Starbucks order?

A– “I like a vanilla cafe latte, with a couple of shots of vanilla.”

Q–What other career paths are you interested in?

A– “I worked in international business in American Green Corp, I was a communications specialist. I was right out of college I was an intern; I was a manager of marketing in Pittsburgh. I was responsible of having cocktail parties, weddings and events at the museum. And then after I started teaching, I pursued babysitting, and I also am a part time representative of Pampered Chef.”
