Meet Mrs. Leslie English!  You may know she works here at LHS, but do you know what she does and why she does it? Do you know she’s always had a passion for helping students? Do you know her favorite ice cream flavor? Find out now!

 

INTERVIEW:

Q–What do you do here at LHS?

A–I am one of the Assistant Principals.

Q–Why did you come to LHS and how many years have you been here?

A–I have been in WJCC for three years now. The first two years, I was an AP at Jamestown HS. This is my first year here at LHS.

Q–What college did you go to? Why that college?

A–I attended CNU for undergrad – honestly it is smaller, and the campus is beautiful. I received my Master’s at ODU.

Q–Why did you want this job?

A–I really enjoy my interactions with students. After being in the classroom for 10 years, I realized that there were other ways to support students’ progress.

Q–What do you love about your job?

A–I love being able to support teachers and students. I enjoy the day-to-day conversations surrounding academics and their personal lives. I love making the connections and seeing their lives change from year to year.

Q–What was your dream job in high school?

A–I wanted to be a school counselor.

Q–What was your favorite subject in high school?

A–Math!

Q–What are your hobbies outside of school?

A–Going to concerts, the beach, grilling out with family and friends

Q–What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

A–Chocolate/Peanut Butter from Baskin Robins 😊

Q–And finally, cats or dogs?

A–100% dogs!!!!
