Christmas Town at Busch Gardens is one of the most popular events people come to see. Christmas Town is one of the largest holiday displays in North America. Millions of beautiful lights adorn the park grounds and buildings. Guests can see shows like Santa’s Workshop, Christmas Town Express, and ‘Twas the Night Ice Skating Show. There are also over 20 rides and rollercoasters, including their new ride, Pantheon, that just opened. Families can even enjoy dinner with Santa Clause. Guests can hear a special Christmas story from the elf, and there are lots of festive treats to get, great shopping for Christmas events and plenty of special photo opportunities.

There are many different ways to see the beautiful Christmas lights at the Christmas Parade. You can walk or drive through.

The Williamsburg Christmas Parade is a fun way to get into the holiday spirt. It brings lots of different businesses and people together to advertise to community members and people visiting. The event is at night this year, so attendees could see all the different floats with lights on them. It went through Colonial Williamsburg for about 2 miles long.  Williamsburg businesses participate, as well as lots of different businesses from all over the area .

Colonial Williamsburg Christmas is another beloved event that many enjoy.  Colonial Williamsburg brings lots of people into Williamsburg to learn about Williamsburg’s history and enjoy our Christmas spirit. Colonial Williamsburg originated in 1699 and was one of the first planned cities. It is perfect for those who love learning history. The Grand Illumination is a festival that takes place on December 1st.

Christmas is a big holiday in Williamsburg and can change the city!

The Grand illumination is the lightning of a Christmas tree and fireworks displays from the Capitol and the Palace. People can visit the Historic attractions and see all of the special decorations throughout the area. The Illumination is the firing of guns and fireworks. It celebrates the reigning sovereign, military victories, or the arrival of a new colonial governor. After the lightning you can go enjoy the musical performances on lots of different stages through the streets.

Another event is a Celebration of the Yule Log. The Yule Log is a large log that is burned in the fireplace on Christmas Eve. Those who attend can follow the log hauled by a wagon from Capitol Circle to Market Square.
