Normally shown throughout the streets of Carnival, images of animals and exaggerated depictions of them are worn in the parade. People will use masks or floats with bright colors and animals to express themselves while celebrating Carnival.

Alaynna is currently a Sophomore at Lafayette high school. She is a part of the Lafayette key Club which participates in various volunteering activities to better her community. Outside of school hours she enjoys hanging out with her friends and participating in many hobbies such as dance and art. This will be her first year as a reporter for the school.

To help celebrate Carnival, parade floats are used during street parades. People will often decorate these floats with bright colors, beads, feathers, and designs. Lights are seen illuminated on the float to light up the event at night.
