The AFC and NFC Championship games are over, and as we head into this upcoming weekend, most minds in the American sports world are on the Super Bowl. Sunday will see the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the Ceasars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The game is scheduled to kick-off at 6:30 PM ET; here’s some background to this game and what is on the line this time around.
The Chiefs, if they win, will be the first team in the Super Bowl era to three-peat, or win the Super Bowl three years in a row. If you haven’t been living under a rock recently, you’ll probably know that Chiefs TE Travis Kelce, and popular singer Taylor Swift are in a relationship. The Chiefs won last year’s Bowl, which means that if the Chiefs win this year, it’ll also mean that they’re 2-0 in Super Bowls with Taylor Swift. ESPN Analytics currently have the Chiefs at a 43.9% chance at taking home the biggest trophy in football. DraftKings’ odds have the spread at Chiefs -1.5, which means that the Chiefs are favored to win by 1-2 points only. The Chiefs played the Eagles in the Super Bowl only 2 years ago, in a game that ended 38-35 Chiefs.
The Eagles, on the other hand, have a lot on the line too. With a win, in which ESPN Analytics estimates they have a 56.1% of doing, they’d win their first Super Bowl sine 2018, and their second Super Bowl in franchise history,

compared to the chiefs current 4 Super Bowl wins.
The Eagles also have HB Saquon Barkley, who has never made it to a Super Bowl before in his Hall of Fame worthy career. Saquon has gone off this season, averaging 125 yards per game, and 5.8 yards per carry, with enough yards to put him second in single season rushing yards in the history of the NFL. DraftKings currently has his Over/Under for rushing yards at 111.5, well above the second highest, Kareem Hunt, who has 43.5. DraftKings currently has the Over/Under for how many total points will be scored this game at 48.5 points scored. The last time these two teams played in the Super Bowl, they scored a combined 73 points. Will this years game fall over or under the 48.5 mark? That will be determined this Sunday, February 9th, at 6:30 PM ET on FOX.
