The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Baltimore Ravens on November 17, in a very tight and close game. Final score ended up being 18-16, with the Steelers scoring a whopping 0 touchdowns. Chris Boswell stepped up and was the leading effort in this win, with him going 6/6 on FGs, with his longest being 57 yards. Justin Tucker continues his under-his-standard season, as he missed 2 FGs this game, Tucker is one of the best kickers in NFL history, and holds the record for the longest FG ever made. Tucker is also one of the most accurate kickers in the NFL up to this year, where he has not been as accurate as he usually is.
Patrick Queen, who is a former Raven who got signed by the Steelers this offseason, went off against his former team, with 10 tackles, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. His teammate, Cam Heyward, commented on Queen’s performance by saying “PQ [Queen] was on fire this game… We talk about being petty and embracing that part of the game. There’s always a measure of get back for every player that goes anywhere.”
Derrick Henry, who is widely considered one of the best Running Backs in the 21st century, was held to only 65 yards, and 1 TD. Derrick also had a fumble, which was his first lost fumble in 538 touches, which went to the Steelers.
Lamar Jackson, last seasons’ MVP, went 16/33, with 207 yards, 1 TD, and 1 interception. He also had 46 rushing yards, with 0 touchdowns on feet.
Payton Wilson was the sole recipient of the only interception that Jackson threw this game. He went down right as it was caught, so a zero-yard return is what gave the steelers ball, and set them up for a field goal to put them up by more points.
This game marks the second game this year that the steelers have won without scoring a single touchdown, the first being their week 1 game against the Falcons, in which they also scored 18 points.
