In other election-related news, junior Neil Smith was forced to cash in on a bet he made with a friend, Justice, following the presidential election.
Neil told Justice that if Trump won, he would have to wear a “Make America Great Again” hat to school for one day. However, if Kamala Harris won, Justice would have to wear a Kamala Harris hat. Thus, when Trump won, Smith had to cash in on his half of the bet to wear the MAGA hat to school for one day—and he did.
Smith walked the halls with the bright hat on his head while teachers and students looked at him confusedly, playfully teased him, and did double-takes. There was specific joking and controversial commentary throughout the day, too.
For example, when the election was discussed during the morning session, several students chimed in about how they felt about the election results and politics in general and how it affects their day-to-day live, all while unknowingly, Neil donned a MAGA hat.
This was an interesting bet that showed how politics is always in the air and it’s okay, but we’re all friends here and can enjoy good sports and a good laugh.
