There’s been a wave of bad behavior sweeping over high schools nationwide. I am here to report the source of the problem of inappropriateness from the worst grade level to the best grade level. Firstly, I think that in my opinion, the most-appropriate grade level to the least appropriate grade level goes in order like this: Sophomores, Freshman, Juniors, and Seni
ors. I put it in that order because I think that Sophomores are very well-behaved. After all, they aren’t freshmen anymore and know what to do now to be appropriate. On the flip side, I believe that Seniors are the worst behaved because they know that this is their last year and they don’t have to come back, which makes them act more inappropriate and immature.
For example, some inappropriate behaviors that have been committed around Lafayette High School are people smoking in the bathrooms, drawing inappropriate symbols or words on the walls, people being inappropriate during the pep rallies or assemblies, and being rude in classes. I think the grade level that exemplifies these behaviors the most is probably the juniors because every time there is a break during an assembly in the theater room, everyone will start clapping for no reason because they think it is funny.
I then decided to try and see how many people agreed with my opinion, I interviewed 10 people from a classroom and asked them “What is the most appropriate to the least appropriate grade level” and the results were this. Six people said Sophomores were the best behaved which I agree with, but then Five of the Ten people said that Freshman were the worst behaved which I disagree with. Some reasons for some of these responses are that “Freshmen are the worst because they are still fresh out of middle school.”, and “Juniors are the best because they are past the point of being immature and they are better behaved than the seniors.”.
So, this is why I think that my opinion of Sophomores being known as the overall most appropriate grade level is right and true in my opinion. I feel like it is right and true because all you have to do is just be around every grade level and see how they act, I spend a lot of time around every grade level and see the maturity difference firsthand and the range of inappropriateness.
