Donald Trump has officially been elected as the President of the United States in the 2024 election, marking his return to the White House after the four-year disaster that is the Biden-Harris administration. This victory has sent shockwaves through the political world, as Trump becomes only the second president in U.S. history to serve non-consecutive terms; Grover Cleveland was both the 22nd and 24th President.
Trump’s victory can be attributed to several key factors. His campaign focused heavily on themes of economic revival, national security, and a promise to “Make America Great Again,” a slogan that resonated with a significant portion of the electorate. He capitalized on the perceived shortcomings of the current administration, particularly in handling the economy and foreign policy. Trump ran his campaign with a heavy focus on immigration, as the U.S. currently has millions of illegal immigrants in our country ruining it. These illegals have committed crimes, caused overcrowding, and abused government welfare programs.
During Trump’s campaign for the 2024 presidency, Trump faced numerous legal challenges many which were brought up to him in a witch hunt by a judge who was specifically appointed just for the cases he was being charged for and of course was also a democrat judge. He was charged in Manhattan New York for 34 so called felony counts of Falsifying Business Records. This is a very unusual charge and even a legal commentor, Andrew McCarthy who is not a big fan of Trump said in a statement “it’s undeniable that no one who wasn’t Donald Trump would ever be charged for this.” many other top legal advisers agreed with this statement. I believe that they were and still are just trying to find anything they can to try and bring Trump down. Another issue Trump faced during this campaign was when he was at a rally in Butler PA, and he was nearly assassinated as he turned his head just in the nick of time and thankfully the bullet only grazed his ear and he was okay.
The 2024 election also saw a significant shift in voter demographics. Younger voters, who had previously in the 2020 election overwhelmingly show support towards Joe Biden this time they instead showed increased support for Trump, drawn by his promises of job creation and economic stability. There was a lot of high profile democrats who supported Trump in 2024 such as Tulsi Gabbard who ran for president in 2020 as a democrat, left her party in 2022 to join the Republican Party and has been very loyal to Trump. Trump also received support from Robert F Kennedy who also left the Democratic Party and became an independent but then decided to suspend his campaign to endorse Trump.
During his campaign Trump ran mainly on immigration and the economy. He promoted his economic vision of cutting taxes, reducing regulation, and bringing jobs back to the U.S. from overseas. He promises to end inflation and lower gas prices like they were when he was in office from 2016-2020. Trump has promised to take care of the current border disaster that was caused by Biden where he promises to have tougher measures on immigration and promises to carry out mass deportation to get all of these illegals out of here.
Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 presidential election marks a significant moment in American history. His return to the White House will be able to bring about substantial changes and set the tone for the nation’s future. As the country navigates this new chapter, the impact of Trump’s presidency will be felt across all aspects of American life, shaping the political, economic, and social landscape for years to come.
