The hit Netflix Original show that has massed over a Billion streams is set to have its last and final season. It was announced earlier this week that we would get one last final adventure. The show’s creators, Josh Pate, Jonas Pate, and Channon Burke always planned on having at least 5 seasons that contained fun-loving, exciting, thrill-seeking adventures. When the announcement of season 5 hit the news many of the fans were “bittersweet”, one fan said, “They were glad about getting another season but were sad that the show was coming to an end”. Even though fans have been very distraught about getting one last season the creators wrote to Instagram a heartfelt message for their viewers. They expressed in the heartfelt letter that in season 5 they will “bring their Pogues back home for one more paddle break”.
The creators have also announced that the show will end in a “gratifying and heartfelt way”. Even though the fans are very distraught some are at least happy that they can get one last season. Even though the fans are sad about the show ending they are still excited for what season 4 has in store for them. The long-awaited season 4 was split into two parts, the first part premiered earlier in October, it gained mass attraction from fans and became Netflix’s number-one show. Part 2 of Outer Banks aired earlier this week November 7; fans were devasted at the season finale where one of the most beloved characters faced a fatal death. The character “JJ” who is played by Rudy Pankow faced a very sad and tragic death fans were outraged and deeply saddened. One of the creators joked about “Do we need witness protection” when discussing the fan’s reactions to JJ’s death. Even though fans are upset it gives them the suspense to continue to watch and see what happens in season 5.
“Outer Banks” has amassed millions of viewers since its premiere in 2020. The show starts with three teens hunting to find Treasure which could be connected to one of the teens fathers disappearance. In the next couple of seasons, they faced adventure, new friends, and uncertainty. Outer Banks has comforted and helped many teens; it has become a phenomime in teen TV series. OBX has become a cultural sensation and has won numerous awards like winning People’s Choice award for best drama show and for best binge-worthy show. The show has made a lot of teens wish that they could have the life of going on adventures and finding lost treasure. The show has influenced a lot of teens from fashion to culture. For example, American Eagle has partnered with them multiple times and has created OBX-inspired pieces.
