Manufacturing Day Overview
Have you ever wondered if going to college was the only option after high school?
Luckily, there are many different career possibilities to choose from, and a recent field trip called “Manufacturing Day” was able to bring this to the attention of numerous students.
Thanks to Mr. Aadahl and the Lafayette staff, students were given the chance to tour factories and learn about various jobs that require either college or high school education on Friday, October 6th. The trip was offered to students from across the Division in technology and marketing classes. These students were invited to tour a printing company, glassmaking company, and Nicewood Enterprises.
Two students who attended Manufacturing Day, Lauren Jackson and Brandon Taylor, said that the trip was a good way to learn about more career opportunities after high school. The students reviewed the trip saying that it was fun and informational, and they would go again if it were offered.
Manufacturing Day is a great experience for students who wish to explore their career options or simply learn about numerous interesting jobs.
