Ms. Poole is a history teacher here at LHS. She teaches American History (USVA) and World History 2. This is Ms. Pooles first year with us at LHS however she has been a teacher for 20 years at various school such as Phoebus, Jamestown and Warhill. She basically does everything for our school from running the SCA, homecoming planning, powderpuff, NHS and so much more. Read on in this teacher spotlight to learn some fun facts about her.
Where are your originally from? – I am originally from Hampton VA.
How long have you been a teacher? – I have been a teacher for 20 years
Where did you go to college? – I went to Old Dominion University
Why did you become a teacher? It was never part of my original plan to become a teacher but a teacher friend at Phoebus asked me to teach and I’ve done it ever since.
What do you love about your job? My favorite part is seeing the students come back and to see what we have done.
Do you have any advice for young people today? You need to have every experience that you can but be smart with it.
If you could meet any celebrity who would it be? If I could meet any celebrity it would be The Rock.
What is your ideal vacation? I want to go to the beach, somewhere with palm trees as well as crystal clear water.
What is your favorite food? My favorite food is Mexican food.
What is your favorite show? My favorite show that I’m watching right now is Supernatural.
If you were stranded on a desert island which three LHS would you choose to have with you? I would choose Ms. Weaver, Ms. Foreback and Ms. Consoli.
