Justin Seegars is a wonderful student who is a part of the Lafayette Ledger Staff. He is a very interesting person to talk to and has many opinions about different subjects, for example he loves to talk about sports, especially sports like football, basketball, and track. He also likes to talk about girls a lot and how to say certain things in certain situations with girls. That is just my general knowledge of Justin Seegars but by emailing him and asking to talk to him in person I was able to ask him some questions about himself to get to know a little more about him.
Firstly, I ask where he was from and to my surprise he is from Harlem, New York.
I found that interesting because it is not every day you see someone from New York City let alone Harlem in Virginia especially in James City County. I also asked about his hobbies, and he named a list of things including basketball, track, coding, and engineering. I also asked him what his advice for younger people would be and he said “Hard work does not guarantee success” I interpret that he is saying that hard work alone does not always guarantee success, which is not a bad message.
The last question I asked him was if he were to coach any sport what it would be
and why, to my surprise (because he is very good at playing basketball) he answered basketball because he does not choose favorites, he knows who should play in what position, and because and I quote “I am not the Cinderella.” I looked up the last quote Justin said, and it is from an Oakland University basketball player Jack Gohlke after winning a game in the March Madness basketball tournament against University of Kentucky, and the Jacks original quote in a post-game interview is “we’re not the Cinderella”. All of this being said we found out more about Justin Seegars, for example where he is from, what he likes to do, and some of his favorite quotes.
