LHS is having a spirit week the last full week before Christmas break. Highschool spirit weeks are an exciting and festive time for students to show their full school pride. These weeks typically consist of dress up days and fun activities followed by an assembly at the end of the week or before break. Each day of the week is dedicated to a specific theme like class colors or pajama day. Students and teachers that chose to participate get creative with their outfits. Highschool spirit weeks are intended for celebration, unity, and school pride. This year at LHS our
Christmas themed week started with “Holiday Headgear” on Monday. Most students where seem wearing Santa hats or reindeer antlers as well as Christmas light headbands. Tuesday was “Twin Day” which is seen in most spirit weeks. Students chose to twin with their friends with certain clothing like t shirts and pajamas as well as shoes and whatever other accessories. The third day was “Wonderland Whiteout”, students wore white. Thursday was “Ugly Sweater Day” a very common event that people do at work, at school and even at home as well as parties. Students worse their ugliest sweaters on this day. And the last day of the week, Friday was “Festive PJ Day” people wear their pajamas that are festive to Christmas time. This day can’t even be considered special anymore because it has become normalized to wear pajamas to school nowadays.
