Lafayette Spotlight: Kaitlyn Cox

Meet Ms. Cox!  She is an English teacher that has been teaching at Lafayette for 2 years! Did you know that she graduated from William and Mary for college.

 

INTERVIEW

Q– Where are you from originally?

A– Dinwiddie, VA.

Q– How long have you been teaching, and how long at LHS?

A– I’ve been teaching for 2 years! Both of those years have been at LHS.

Q– Where did you go to college?

A– William and Mary.

Q– What subject(s) do you teach?

A– English 10, Honors English 10, and English 12.

Q– Why did you become a teacher?

A– At first, I wanted to be a lawyer, but I realized that I got too bored with the work. I decided that I wanted to become a teacher because I love hectic days and I enjoy working with highschoolers. I also love reading and enjoy sharing that with others!

Q– What are your hobbies?

A– I have a lot of hobbies, but some of my favorites are snowboarding, yoga, gaming, and reading! I also enjoy making Starbucks copycat recipes at home.

Q– What is your ideal vacation?

A– My ideal vacation would be a trip to Seoul, South Korea! My best friend is currently teaching English at a middle school in Seoul.

Q– What is your favorite cheese?

A– Pepperjack—I like spicy foods.
