Let’s take a look at the brand new adventure from my personal favorite director.

The awesome new logo for this exciting upcoming adventure.

Wes Anderson at the Berlin Film festival, where he showed off my favorite of his movies, Grand Budapest Hotel.

The Royal Tannenbaums, Moonrise Kingdom, Fantastic Mr.Fox and my personal favorite Grand Budapest Hotel. All of these films have been the work of the creative mind of Wes Anderson. This is his 11th film in his very successful directorial career and frankly I cannot wait. I’m a bit confused at the same time as well though.

The trailer doesn’t really give us all that much as to what this movie is really about. While we get the general gist of what its truly about it also just floats around it and doesn’t give any specifics. From what we can see it seems to be about the woahs and wonders of a small town in the desert and the mysterious lives of all the townspeople and the people who run it. According the the synopsis released, so far this film is about “the transformative events that occur at an annual Junior Stargazer convention in 1955“, once again doesn’t really give us any specific details but just enough to where we can wonder. The description also tells us that this is a romantic-comedy drama film. Which a very interesting but seems to be a theme when it comes to Andersons films.

This film comes after the somewhat disappointing last film of Anderson “The French Dispatch”, I believe that movie had lots of potential however it just did not deliver in the fields I was hoping it would. However I do have lots of hope for this movie. With a star-studded cast film with incredibly well known and popular but more importantly talented actors and also a subject matter which in my opinion is far more interesting than the former film. I just cannot wait for what this film is going to bring to the table.

The previous logo from the director follows the same art direction with the simplistic but informative look.

That star-studded cast surely comes with a cost though, while its not confirmed it would not surprise me if this is Andersons most expensive film to date. With big names like Tom Hanks, Willem DaFoe, Jeff Goldblum, Scarlett Johannson, Edward Norton, and so many more these few names would cost quite the pretty penny. However I believe that Anderson knows what hes doing, while he has the usual suspects that he typically has in his movies; This film brings new faces and new stories and different styles for acting.

Can’t wait for these marquee boards to have Asteroid City on them!

All in all i cannot wait for this movie, with its classic Wes Anderson comedy and its amazing visual humor. I expect big from this film. Asteroid City releases in theaters on June 16th.
