INTERVIEW

Q– What do you do/teach here?

A– Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Functions Trig, Pre-Calculus and now Geometry.

Q– Why did you come to LHS and how many years have you been here?

A– I have been here 9 years after taking time off to stay home with my kids when they were young, previously taught in VA Beach and Swansboro NC.

Q– What college did you go to?

A– East Carolina University.

Q– Why did you decide to teach?

A– Both parents were in education, and I always liked math.

Q– What do you love about your job?

A– I like math and I enjoy seeing students’ growth throughout high school and want to be a positive influence in their lives. I like getting to know the students beyond just teaching them math.  As I always say; you don’t have to be great at math to be a good person as long as you always do your best.  A grade does not define you as a person.

Q– What are your hobbies?

A– Going to gym, following my kids’ sports.

Q– Cats or dogs?

A– Cats, only 1 cat at the time “smokey.”

Q– What is your favorite color?

A– Pink, obviously.
