In today’s glorious Lafayette Spotlight: our very our wonderful Latin Teacher, Sarah Kim!
Meet Sarah Kim! She is an awesome Latin teacher at both LHS and TMS! Did you know that Mrs. Kim actually got baptized in our very own cafeteria?
INTERVIEW
Q– Where are you from originally?
A–Williamsburg (went to LHS – class of 97).
Q–How long have you been teaching, and how long at LHS?
A– Since 2001, been at LHS since 2019.
Q–Where did you go to college?
A–UNC Chapel Hill and Colorado College.
Q–What subject(s) do you teach?
A–Latin at LHS and TMS.
Q–Why did you become a teacher?
A– Both of my parents taught here at LHS (mother taught AP English and history and my dad taught AP physics and chemistry) I really loved my Latin teacher (Mary Anderson) here at LHS.
Q–Why did you come to LHS and how many years have you been here?
A–I was baptized in the cafeteria (church had not been built yet and met in the cafeteria in 1979). I grew up running around the halls of LHS when my parents came in early to get work done in the summers. My own children go here now as well.
Q–What do you love about your job?
A–The students. 🙂
