Have You Ever Wanted to Know More About the School Psychologist?
Meet Heather Williams! She is the school psychologist, which some of you may not have known we had. If you’re one of those people, keep reading to find out more!
Q–What do you do/teach here?
A–School Psychologist
Q–Why did you come to LHS and how many years have you been here?
A–This is my fifth year at LHS. Each year, school psychologists are assigned to two or three schools. When LHS became available as a school, I jumped at the opportunity. I graduated from LHS many years ago – so it felt like coming home.
Q–What do you love about your job?
A–My favorite part is interacting with students and providing support when someone is going through a difficult time. Much of my time is spent either in meetings or testing, so I really value the time that I am able to spend building relationships and working directly with students.
Q–Where are you from originally?
A–I’m from Williamsburg!
Q–Did you go to college and if so, where?
A–Undergraduate – UVA; Graduate school – W&M
Q–What is your ideal vacation?
A–Lying on a sunny beach, listening to the waves crashing on the beach, and reading a book.
Q–What is your favorite thing about LHS?
A–The teachers at LHS are so dedicated, always willing to accommodate students who have specific needs/disabilities, and most go above and beyond to help each student be successful. I have worked at many schools over the years and I am continually impressed with the perseverance, commitment, and effort displayed by our staff.
Q–If you could meet anyone from the past, who would it be and why?
A–Jesus!
