The Queen herself, Taylor Alison Swift.

With a title like Midnights, it’s no wonder it has become one of the worlds top albums since it’s release.

Maroon, Anti Hero, Snow On The Beach. All of these songs from Taylor Swift’s new album. On the midnight (ET) of October 21st 2022, Taylor Alison Swift woke up the world when she dropped her 10th album, Midnights. It broke records when it dropped goingt on record as the most-streamed album in a single day for the music streaming service.

Now, that doesn’t surprise us. Throughout her career, the music artist has dropped album after album taking her fans through the many stages of her life, battling love, breakups, and growing up. So it was no surprise when her 13-track album smashed records and enlightened “swifties” both old and new to listen to the album.

But the question has arisen from many people after listening to it: Is the album actually good?

It’s a heated debate in the Taylor Swift world. One person who listened to it, Asa Fehrenbach, had quite a lot to say on the debacle. He states, “It’s just trash. The album is so bland and has no new feeling to it. It sounds like every other pop artist wrote it for shopping in Forever 21. Her other albums, such as Red and Speak Now, have touched my heart and others more than this trash she calls an album.” His opinion is just one of many.

But don’t be fooled, while many people have given the ever successful Miss Swift a black mark on her album discography, there are a ton of swifties that say her album is a work of art that needs to be appreciated. “I mean, you gotta love it,” Lauren Lynn gushes about the album, “Taylor is a genius in the world of music and can do no wrong. This album touched my heart and made me appreciate her mastery with lyrics all the more after listening. It was a highlight of my October for sure.”

Taylor is an energetic performer and always has been.

Clearly,  opinions of the album are quite divided among its listeners, but what about the featured music stars on past albums? Following the release of Midnights, the artists that were featured raved about how good Taylor is and how Midnights had such a big impact on them. In an interview with Billboard, Keith Urban stated, “The lyricism, the fresh meters as far as some of the cadences she sang, “Jack Antonoff’s production is just exquisite for a guy like me, who is obsessive over fine, fine details. If you put headphones on, as an audiophile like I am, I can swim in that album with no vocals on it. It’s just so beautifully put together like some kind of acid trip, Jackson Pollock painting. It’s just beautiful. Absolutely love it, top to bottom. I think it’s one of her best albums ever.”

As such a big music artist raves about how much he loves Swift and her album, it can only lead us to believe that maybe there’s more to Taylors album then meets first glance. Following the release of an album Taylor released the dates of her tour, “The Eras.” Fans can only hope it might exceed their expectations playing live , or continue to deepen their admiration for the blonde artist.
