March Book Releases
New Books Coming Out This Month
Books have become increasingly popular thanks to BookTok, a community of people on TikTok who create videos on book reviews, book hauls, and book recommendations. Books that become popular on the public media outlet have seen a dramatic increase in sales. This March, many of the books coming out have already enjoyed some major hype.
Fiction: One Italian Summer by Rebecca Serle
Rebecca Serle is the author of the popular books In Five Years, The Dinner List, as well as young adult novels The Edge of Falling and When You Were Mine. One Italian Summer was listed as the “book club pick” at Barnes and Noble for the month of March. In an Instagram post, Serle said she was “so proud of so many incredible people that have moved mountains to get this book to you.” This title released on March 1st.
When Katy’s mother, Carol, dies, Katy is left reeling. Their planned mother-daughter trip to Positano suddenly doesn’t seem so fun anymore. Katy embarks on the adventure alone, but as soon as she steps foot on the Amalfi Coast, Katy feels her mother’s spirit. Then, Carol suddenly appears and Katy is left wondering how she suddenly got her mother back. However, her mother is not the same. Her mother is thirty years old, tan, and healthy. Over the course of Katy’s vacation, she gets to know Carol, not as her mother, but as the young woman she used to be.

Young Adult: Gallant by V.E. Schwab
V.E. Schwab is author of BookTok sensation The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. Victoria “V.E.” Schwab said in an Instagram post that she began writing Gallant when the pandemic first started. She was stuck in a village and began to write. 2 years later, she had a book to publish. This book was published March 1st.
Olivia Prior has grown up in Merliance School for girls with her mother’s crazy, nonsense journal to keep her company. Suddenly, a letter arrives at her school inviting her to go home to Gallant. Fantasy: The War of Two Queens by Jennifer Armentrout

Historical Fiction: The Diamond Eye by Kate Quinn
<<picture>> Kate Quinn’s new book The Diamond Eye takes place in Ukraine. Quinn posted on her Instagram, “…like everyone, I have been glued to the news as Ukraine fights Russia. Lyudmila Pavlichenko (referring to the character in the book) was Ukrainian, and though she fought for the USSR against Germany, her war was conducted on Ukrainian soil, in defense of Ukrainian cities and Ukrainian people.” This title releases March 29th.
