Al Clark one of the best umpires in the game.
One of Al’s 5 appearances in an American Championship game. Fun fact a lot of players didn’t like him because of how strict he is.
Al Clark was a Umpire in the MlB for 26 years, he was in 2 world series, 2 all star games, 5 American league champions, and 3 American league division series. The reason why I know him is because he went to my dads work, Al saw a picture of me playing baseball and then told my dad he was an umpire in the MLB. The next day he came back and gave my dad a bunch of signed things to give to me. I still haven’t met him but one day I hope I do because I have a bunch of questions to ask him.
Al Clark chose the number 24 for his career as an umpire. He was the number 24 for his whole umpire career, also ended up being his favorite number.
