This past February, the Lafayette High School orchestra had the privilege of traveling to New York City and soaking up all the beauty that is The Big Apple.
New York City is one of the busiest places in the United States, and there’s a reason. It’s no secret that it is prime spot for tourists, brining in over 65 million new visitors a year. With it’s busy streets, bright lights, and fantastic entertainment, it’s no wonder that New York has captured the attention from people not just in the United States, but all around the world. When we found out that we would be visiting New York, the whole orchestra was a buzz with excitement. No performing, no school, just us in the middle of all the beauty. We spent three days in New York and I think we can all agree that it was an incredible experience, and for most of us, our last trip before the Corona Virus hit.
