Baby Yoda Takes On Baby Grinch and Baby Groot
The battle for the title of the cutest character has begun. The question is who will come out victorious? Baby Yoda? Baby Groot? Baby Grinch?

Small. Cute. Fierce. Baby Groot, baby Grinch, and the new Star Wars character “baby Yoda” are the hottest–and most adorable–faces on the pop-culture scene right now. But which one is the most adorable, cute and loveable???
With the debut of Disney+ on November 12, 2019, a new Star Wars series was released. The Mandalorian is about a bounty hunter traveling the galaxy with an unexpected companion. Even though any Star Wars series will be popular among the many Star
Wars fans, a certain new character has definitely boosted the show’s popularity: it has a small stature, big ears, and green skin, and has stolen the hearts of many people. Even though it hasn’t been explicitly said in the show, the familiar characteristics of this little creature has caused many to speculate that the little creature is of the same species of the Jedi Master Yoda, resulting in the nick name “baby Yoda.” Along with the similar physical features, this “baby Yoda” has other traits in common with Yoda. The miniature creature is also one with the force. Baby Yoda used the force to save the bounty hunter in one of The Mandalorian episodes. This has given fans even more reason to believe that baby Yoda is in fact the same species as Yoda.

Another character that has been argued to be the cuter creature is baby Groot. First shown in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the adult version of Groot was nearly killed in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 when he saved the Guardians by sacrificing himself. All that was left of him was a twig. Rocket, Groot’s best friend, plants this twig in a pot, hoping to re-grow his best friend. The twig ended up growing into baby Groot, and became a vital part of the Guardians’ team. When Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 came out back in 2017, the little tree melted the hearts of many, just like baby Yoda has today. Baby Groot is fierce when it comes to protecting his family, and his high-pitched voice and fly dance moves makes his character even cuter.

The question remains: which one is the cutest? Is it baby Yoda with his floppy ears, big eyes, and his skills with the force? Is it baby Grinch with his chubby green cheeks who stole our hearts back in 2000? Or is it baby Groot, with his twiggy arms and cute little voice?
Today, most people will say that the young green Jedi is by far the cutest, but there are a few people who disagree. Local cardiac device Nurse Amy Coleman said, “Baby Groot is the cutest because he says ‘I am Groot’ in a really tiny voice.”
LHS Senior Amelia Wathen shared her opinion on this debate, as well. “Baby Yoda is definitely the cutest. He looks more like a baby than the other ones.” She continued, “Baby Groot is the second cutest and baby Grinch is the least cute because he just looks weird.”
Overall, the winner as the cutest creature is baby Yoda. The majority of people say that he easily beats the other two characters. Don’t worry though, because baby Groot and baby Grinch will forever have a special place in our hearts.
