Fourth quarter, the last portion of the year, is often students’ favorite time of the year for many reasons including prom. Prom is often thought of as one of the best parts of high school, if not the pinnacle. Countless hours preparing for this one night is time well spent for many students. What goes into picking out the most important part for so many girls- the dress

The buzz surrounding this momentous night is fueled largely by the sometimes seemingly impossible endeavor of finding “the dress.” Some girls prefer to stick to the traditional long dress that flaunts sparkling gems and sashes with pastel colors while others prefer a shorter style dress. Wide varieties of dresses are available at numerous stores and retailers, making the decision increasingly more difficult every year.

Jessy Alvarez, an LHS Senior says she looks for “a dress that sticks to my figure and flatters it.”

Many girls, don’t know exactly what they’re looking for in a dress until they see it. Abby Johnson, also a senior at LHS, says she looks for “something that makes me feel good and really shows my personality.”

Whether the quest for finding just the right dress is simple or challenging, it almost always is worth it for a wonderful night celebrating the adventures of the year.
