Fortnite was released on July 25th, 2017. The game was released with two game modes that are still around today, but with the high popularity it attracted, it became nearly impossible to keep up with the demand for fresh updates to the game weekly. From a players’ point of view, I think epic games staff has done a phenomenal job at keeping the game as up to date as possible.

The game is circled around two game modes, including Battle Royale and Save The World. A Battle Royale game usually falls into and consists of the following boundaries; a video game genre that blends the survival, exploration and scavenging elements of a survival game with last man standing gameplay. The release of the season 3 Battle Pass is one of the more anticipated parts of the newest update, but there are plenty of other additions that will excite Fortnite Fans. Players frustrated by the Pump Shotgun ‘double pump’ issue will be pleased to know that this has now been fixed, also grenades are no longer able to deal critical damage. The hand cannon is the newest weapon to be added to the game, which uses heavy ammo and it can be found as both a rare and epic item. With the addition of the hand cannon, pistols have had their drop rate reduced across all levels of rarity. Another small addition is that players will have control of their character for 10 seconds after their Battle Royale victory, meaning a chance to celebrate and use your emotes.  These new updates in Fortnite, are creating a base for a future empire of gaming.
