Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, stockings hung by the chimney, and NBA games—Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year.

The first game of Christmas day is the Knicks vs. the 76ers at 12:00 PM in New York City.  The next game is Cavaliers vs. Warriors at 3:00 PM in San Francisco, followed by the Wizards going up against the Celtics in Boston at 5:30 PM. The fourth game of the day is the Rockets vs. Thunder at 8:00 PM in Oklahoma City. Finally, at 10:30 PM the Timberwolves will take on the Lakers in Los Angeles.

The Christmas Day games kick off with the Knicks vs. 76ers, with the latter favored to win.  “Trust the Process,” as the team motto goes. Rookie Ben Simmons is having a great starting season. If Joel Embiid is not injured, then he will be a major factor for the 76ers. He will be able to help the team by getting rebounds and driving to the basket. Also, Embiid will be able to draw many fouls because he often flops.

The rivalry is hot with the next finals rematch up of the Cavaliers against the Warriors. Many people are saying that the Warriors are going to win. Kevin Durant, often called a snake for joining Golden State, he will be able to help the Warriors slither their way to a win. Since the Warriors are a shooting team, they will be able outscore the Cavaliers. Also, the Cavaliers’ defense is not that good, so the Warriors will be able to break through their defense easily.

Following the Warriors game, the Wizards are going up against the Celtics. Currently, the Celtics are number one in the league. First, since Kyrie Irving has the best handles in the league, Wizards point guard John Wall will not be able to guard him. Irving has lead the Celtics team to 21 wins. Brad Stevens, the coach of the Celtics, is also one of the best in the league.

After the showdown in Boston we see the Rockets go up against the Thunder. The Rockets are going the favorite to win. James Harden is having a MVP season, and with the help of Chris Paul the Rockets will be able to easily score points against the Thunder. Also, since the Rockets have good team chemistry, they are able to move the ball around and score more often. On the other hand, The Thunder do not have good team chemistry, so it is hard for them to figure out who is going to do what in the game.

The night wraps up with the Timberwolves against Lakers. Most people think the Timberwolves are going to win because Ball  is a “bust.” Seattle also has very good team chemistry, allowing them to better distribute the ball. Since the Timberwolves are able to shoot and score in the paint, they have an edge on the Lakers.
