Saquon Barkley hurdles Iowa linebacker en route to Penn States 21-19 win

Penn State has lost two games in a row after starting the season 7-0. They reached number two on the AP poll and Coaches Poll, and had an incredible beginning to the season. Penn State seemed unbeatable after ripping apart a strong number nineteen Michigan, 42-13. Now 8-2, Penn State has two remaining games left and is hoping to be propelled from a number ten spot to number six.

Penn State lost 39-38 to #6 Ohio State in a heated rivalry battle, forcing their ranking to go from second to seventh. Hoping for a bounce-back game the next week against another major rival, #24 Michigan State, Penn State scored no points in the 4th quarter and left 6 unanswered points up to Michigan, giving them a 27-24 win.

Carried by a pair of Juniors, Saquon Barkley and Trace McSorely, they have scored 34 touchdowns in the 2017 season. As starting running back, Saquon Barkley, has scored 12 touchdowns and accounted for 1300 rushing and receiving yards this season. Trace McSorley, quarterback, has 22 total touchdowns this season. Head coach James Franklin has been trying to build his legacy after predecessor Joe Paterno’s infamous career. So far, Franklin has led Penn state to 33 wins and 17 losses over 4 years.
