Meet Ms. Reese!  She is one of our English teachers at Lafayette. She loves working with our students and she is awesome!

INTERVIEW:

Q: Where are you from originally?

A: Maryland

Q: How long have you been teaching?

A: This is my 10th year.

Q: Where did you go to college?

A: University of Wisconsin (undergrad), University of Southern California (masters)

Q: What subject do you teach?

A: English

Q: Why did you become a teacher?

A: I have always wanted to be a teacher. I love helping kids learn to be better writers, readers, and thinkers.

 

Q: What is your favorite lunch to bring to school?

A: Quinoa with chicken, spinach, feta and kalamata olives

Q: What is your favorite place you’ve traveled?

A: Israel or Australia

Q: Do you have any advice for young people?

A: Develop some grit. Life gets messy at times, but you have to be able to pull yourself through it and not make excuses. You are capable of anything you set your mind to.
