Meet John Hundley! Read on to learn more about the interesting hobbies of our legendary Driver’s Ed teacher.

INTERVIEW

Q – Where are you from originally?

A – I am from Williamsburg, VA. I graduated from Lafayette High School as well.

Q – How long have you been teaching, and how long at LHS?

A – I have been teaching at Lafayette High School for 18 years and have been in education for 33 years.

Q – Where did you go to college?

A – I went to Virginia State University.

Q – What subject(s) do you teach?

A – I teach Driver Education and PE 1.

Q – Why did you become a teacher?

A – I became a teacher because my football coaches in high school were teachers and had a huge impact on my life.

Q – Do you have any advice for young people today?

A – My advice for young people today would be to always follow your dreams even though it won’t be easy.  Anything you want to achieve, you must work for.

Q – If you could live anywhere, where?

A – I would live in Suffolk, Virginia.

Q – What are your hobbies?

A – I like to play golf, bass guitar, and I enjoy line dancing.

Q – What is your biggest obstacle in life?

My biggest obstacle is not being able to play golf as much as I like too.

Q – 5 years from now, do you still see yourself at LHS?

A – No, I see myself at Lafayette for only 3 years at the most.
