Fans worldwide were shocked and eagerly waiting to see Rihanna perform. To surprise of most, Rihanna had an unexpected guest on stage– a baby bump, revealing an expected child. This is Rihanna’s second pregnancy.

Superbowl LVII took place at the Stadium Farm Arena, which resides in Glendale, Arizona. During the halftime show Rihanna performed in an eye-catching baggy red jumpsuit, while her background dancers wore all white. The songs performed included Rude Boy, Work, We Found Love, Wild Thoughts, Umbrella, Run This Town, Only Girl In the World and even Kanye West’s All of the Lights.

Rihanna is considered to be an influential pop and R&B artist. There has been a lot of success in Rihanna’s platform the last two decades. Beginning with hit tracks, such as Pon de Replay (2005), Umbrella (2007), We Found Love (2010), Work (2016), and many more songs. In early 2022, Rihanna revealed that she was expecting her first child with A$AP Rocky at the age of 34. This was a shock to the media; it was unexpected news most fans. On May 13, in Los Angeles, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky welcomed a new  baby boy. A year later, and the child’s name has yet to be made public. With the secrecy of this pregnancy, it comes to no surprise that Rihanna was able to successfully hide another. In fact, there was nearly zero rumors regarding the artist’s second pregnancy.

It is assumed that the halftime show background dancers were prohibited from speaking about anything in relation to Rihanna or their performance before the Super Bowl. However, some dancers have came out and admitted that they were not aware of the pregnancy. Additionally, it is revealed by TMZ that Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, was surprised by her baby bump.

This new addition could mean a longer delay for Rihanna’s next album, assuming there will be one. It seems that Rihanna has been focusing on her beauty brand, and now will be working towards a healthy, private, family life. It’s expected for Rihanna to continue to surprise fans with more news.
