In April 2015 the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie was first announced to the public with the involvement with Warner Bros but now Blumhouse studio and after years of delays and unfitting scripts the FNaF movie is finally in production starting in February of 2023. Produced by Jason Blum and Scott Cawthon, the creator of the FNaF games and directed by Emma Tammi. People speculate that the movie will come out by the end of 2023 or early 2024.

Five Nights at Freddy’s is a point and click survival horror game that came out august 8, 2014. The game starts out with the player in a security office working from 12 to 6am. For 5 straight nights you have to close doors and open cameras to prevent the haunted animatronics from killing you and it doesn’t help that each night gets harder. There are currently 13 FNaF games,  9 main games and 4 mini games. in no specific order there is FNaF 1, FNaF 2, FNaF 3, FNaF 4, FNaF Sister Location,FNaF World, Freddy Fazbears Pizzeria simulator, UCN, FNaF Help Wanted, FNaF AR, Freddy in Space 2, Fury’s Rage, and Security Breach.

The most recent FNaF movie news is the Freddy Fazbear’s pizza sign that was originally leaked but was then announced by Blumhouse. The current cast are Matthew lillard who has played shaggy in the live action scooby do movies is now playing the main child murderer william afton, Josh Hutcherson is playing the main character in most FNaF games Mike Schmidt, Piper Rubio is playing Mike’s younger sister, Mary Stuart is playing the female villain. Jim Henson’s Creature Shop will be working on the animatronics. The first set photos have been released as well as the movie code name “Bad Cupcake”. The filming of the movie is said to take place in Louisiana even when, according to the books, the series take place in Utah. Thankfully the movie will follow the events of the games.

The movie is going to be about ‘Mike’ the security guard beginning a night shift at Freddy Fazbears Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through. The producer said that he wants it to be as gory as possible so this movie won’t be for young kids or for the faint of heart. In a reddit post Scott Cawthon posted all 9 rejected scripts. Most scripts just drifted too far from the original source or just didn’t seem too fit into the FNaF universe. In the 8 years of being stuck in an endless loop of scripting and scaping its finally being filmed and we can only hope to see a trailer and a release date in just a few months.
