And the Miss Universe Title ….er, Oscar for Best Picture….wait, what show is this?

It’s that time of year again, Oscar season. The time of the year when all the stars and starlets get all gussied up and ready to strut their stuff while wearing their new designer suits and dresses, ready to receive the greatest honor in all of the film industry.

This year the award for best picture went to Moonlight, staring Mahershala Ali. Moonlight is the heartbreaking story of an African-American man through three significant parts of his life.

Like every year, the stars of Hollywood took their time and stated their political views, but this did not detract from the rest of the evening. As usual, the show continued. People came up, received their awards and said a few words, then returned to their seats. However, when the cast of La La Land came up to receive their Oscar, their speeches were interrupted by Warren Beatty who had to explain the mix up and now with the right envelope he announced Moonlight as the true winners.
