Have you met Rod Wave?

If not, it’s time.

Rodarius Marcell Green, better known as Rod Wave, is a rapper/songwriter and singer.  Rod was born Aug. 27 1998 in St Petersburg Florida. He graduated from Lake Wood high school in the southern California city of Lakewood.  He’s really close with his parents, who pushed him to become a famous artist. When Rod was in elementary school his parents split when his father went to prison. He was a street hustler, a trade he chose to make sure his family was fed and clothed.

Things changed dramatically before middle school, because of his father still being imprisoned, and then his uncle was sentenced to six years in-prison, too. He was once arrested on campus for bringing a pellet gun to school. In 2017 he began singing, but it wasn’t till later he began to record.

Rod Wave’s career began in 2016 with the release of his mixtape Hunger Games Vol. 1. He released several singles prior to singing with Alamo records. June 14 2019 his PTSD album was released, which included “Heart On Ice.” It went viral on tik Tok and YouTube, peaking at number 1. Billboard Music awarded him top new artist back then he was famous for “Pray For Love,” and “Hunger Games.”

He has a total of 4 albums and 24 songs.  The public loves him. They say he makes music about real life, expressing how he feels in each song. In some songs he’s happy and some songs he’s sad. Lots of people say his music helps them through hard times and gives them hope and light on a dark path.

Rod has family now.  In 2023 a girlfriend name Kesley became the mother of his twin daughters Mocha and Kash.  He is doing great in life right now. He loves making his fans happy. He goes on tour to different states. He recently dropped a new album, “Beautiful Mind.”  His most recent albums are “Soul Fly,” “Pray 4 Love,” and “Ghetto Gospel.”

Based on his actions, it seems that he just wants to see his family happy. Rod loves doing big things for his mom. He recently bought her a house and a new truck. He takes care of his family and makes sure they’re straight.  His mom and daughters have close relationships together.

Many are not aware that his net worth is worth 3 million dollars. My personal favorite song by him is “Ribbon in the Sky” when he says, “you say you love me but you leaving me” ‘I guess nothings what it seem to be.” So profound!
