The Giants came into the 2022 draft with new head coach Brian Daboll. The plan was the acquire players that would aid in the push for the playoffs in the upcoming season. With the 5th pick in the draft, the giants drafted Kayvon Thibodeaux an edge rusher from Oregon state. Then also having the 7th pick from the trade with the bears the Giants took an offensive lineman Evan Neal from Alabama.

One of the most important positions in a team is the offensive lineman and has been known for always being early picks in a draft. There are only so many linemen that you can trust to protect your quarterback and aid your running back in your offensive strategy.  In the other 9 picks they focused on gaining depth for their lineman and few skill positions. The draft turned out to be a major success according draft analyst Luis Tirado Jr. giving a “B” for the giants overall grade of their draft.
