It’s almost time to go to bed early and wait for the Easter bunny again.

Get your baskets together and go to sleep early. The Easter Bunny is coming soon, and he’s about to bring all your favorite candies!

But which ones are truly the best???

The best traditional candy is jelly beans. Around since 1976 they are the classic. My favorite part about them is that you can fill the entire bottom of the Easter basket and it seems like they never run out. Another great thing is that they can be any flavor you want, whether it’s the crazy nasty flavors, or the wild tropical fruity flavors. Austin Willitts, 22 year old IT specialist at Sentara and candy conoisseur, said, “Jelly beans are so good.” He also added “I like the fruity flavors more than the weird chocolate ones.”

Next on the list is a chocolate bunny. No matter how old you are, you can enjoy getting a chocolate bunny in your Easter basket. They come in many flavors, such as cookies and cream, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, and even Reese’s. Of course there are people who don’t like chocolate; for them, we have gummy bunnies. These also come in multiple flavors, more often in fruity varieties. Don’t forget the size though; children normally get a normal small bunny. However, teens and young adults will never be upset with a two foot chocolate or gummy bunny. Yes, two feet! That’s not the limit either, they go even bigger.

Then there are candies from out there, where the buses don’t run…like candy corn. I have never received candy corn in my Easter basket, but apparently it’s a thing. Candy corn for Easter is in the same shape as what we all see around Halloween, but made with pastel colors.

The fan favorite Easter candy, PEEPS. The perfect marshmallow candy is being sold everywhere as Easter approaches.

Of course we can’t forget peeps. The colorful, sugar coated chick shape marshmallow is symbol of Easter at this point. If you don’t get peeps for Easter, a disaster is waiting to happen–that’s how amazing and classic these candies are. Normally, I don’t like marshmallows, but even I will always look forward to eating these. Recently they have been coming out with flavors beyond the original “yellow:” birthday cake, cotton candy, and coffee, among others.

My absolute favorite are Cadbury Creme Eggs. These are the perfect mix of chocolate and vanilla cream. If you creave more than just chocolate, these are for you. On Easter–and every other day of the year–I will always choose these over anything else. These are one of the most popular candies of all. If you have not tried them yet, make sure to ask for them in your basket this year. According to The Post, “The first spot goes to one of the most hotly contested Easter candies: Cadbury Creme Eggs.”
