LEGO video games have had a huge influence on many children’s and adults’ lives. LEGO in general is one of the biggest entertainment companies in the world, billions and billions of little LEGO bricks and dozens of games have been created over many decades. LEGO spans across many different popular movies and show series, such as Jurassic Park, the Avengers, and even their own properties like LEGO City. Arguably, the most popular and influential of all these franchises is the LEGO Star Wars games.

Star Wars has been a hit since the day it came out back in the 70s, over the years it’s grown and spread into many different forms. This includes attractions at their parent company’s park (Disney), the shows that broadcasted on cable TV, and now streaming on Disney Plus. You can’t argue that Star Wars isn’t everywhere, as it is one of the biggest pop culture influences ever. I have yet t0 meet a person who either doesn’t like Star Wars or hasn’t even seen or heard of it. One way that it has reached hundreds of millions of people across the globe has been the LEGO Star Wars games.

Personally, I have been playing LEGO Star Wars all my life, I grew up on it. There is just something so special about these games, they have their own personality unlike any other game. Maybe it’s the fun dialogue or the creativity used to make everything into LEGOs, but I know for a fact anyone can pick up this game, start at any point, and have a fun time playing it.

One student here at Lafayette who is very excited for this new entry is Noah Amor. I asked him some questions about the games.

Q: Noah, how long have you been playing the LEGO Star Wars games?

A: All my life basically, it’s been a big part of my childhood and now as I’m older I’d say it’s still just as important.

Q: Are you excited for the new game?

A: Oh, absolutely. Actually, I’ve already pre ordered it so as soon as it comes out I’ll be playing. This game just looks so awesome and different then the other entries while still keeping that LEGO Star Wars feel.

So, you may be asking: what makes this LEGO Star Wars game different than the others? Well, this game has evolved with Star Wars. It adds every previous entry and also adds every Star Wars movie. There is a whole multi-hour experience for all movies from the prequels, original trilogy, as well as the controversial sequels. Each is given their own special little touch, making every one a unique experience every player will have an absolute joy playing.

This entry in the series will also the be the most creative, available, and diverse game we have seen. The developers for this game pulled out every tool they had in the arsenal and it will not disappoint. For creativity we have the hundreds of different worlds you will be able to explore, countless characters you can play, and the all new features and settings they’ve added for ease of use or even just to make it more entertaining.

For availability, it will release on basically every modern day form of entertainment you can think of. Also, a different type of availability is the amount of players this game will be able to reach, it has hundreds of settings for those with impairments which allow them to still play which is awesome. The games diversity is also amazing, it had characters from every walk of life and the developers really put their heart and soul into making them feel authentic.

Anyone who has had Star Wars influence them should at least give this game a try. With how influential its been to millions it will most definitely create a connection everyone loves. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga releases April 5th 2022, and it will be a day which millions will celebrate.
