This is the album cover of the Mix-tape.

Hamilton is a Broadway show that was composed and written by Lin- Manuel Miranda back in 2009. Everyone thought this wasn’t going to work, on April 1, 2016 Hamilton was published and since then it has been a hit. In an interview Lin told to Vanity fair that he made a mix tape of Hamilton so the hip hop community can appreciate the music. He gathered some famous artist from the hip hop community and on December 2nd of 2016 the Hamilton mix-tape was made.

In this Mix-tape he doesn’t just take the original soundtrack and add a beat to the song. He also remastered some songs with a few extra lyrics. He is even elongating a line into an entire song called “Immigrates (We get the job done);” a lyric from a song in the original soundtrack and is now a whole song in the mix-tape. it talks about the struggles of immigrants that came to America. Another one of the songs in the mix-tape that was from the original soundtrack was “Satisfied.” The mix-tape they added an upbeat track to the original and took out some vocals.

With tracks such as “Immigrants (We get the job done)” and “Washington’s On Your Side.” New songs have been added which are relevant to present day issues, which revolutionary in music today.  They both talk how they think about the president and wanting to get answers.

So don’t “Waste Your Shot” to listen to this mix-tape, it’s “No John Trumbull”. Don’t “Wait for It” to be old news. Listen to Lin’s “Satisfied” career since he started writing “Dear Theodosia” with “An Open Letter” talking about how Hamilton and his crew went over “Valley Forge”.” It’s Quiet Uptown” since” Immigrants got the job done”.” That Would Be Enough” to “Stay Alive” to say” Congratulations” about the making of this mix-tape.” Take A Break” and “Say Yes to This”, “You’ll Be Back” and be “Helpless “that the chance was “Burned”. Have a “Cabinet Meeting” to see if “Washington Is On Your Side”? “History Has Its Eyes On You” to say “Who Lives and Who Dies and Who Tells Your Story”.
