First she was born in China. Then she was later discovered in Japan. Next she found herself flying all the way to England. After that she met every state in our country. You would think she would stop there, but no. Now COVID-19 seized every country on our planet since the beginning of this year. 

Due to COVID-19 spreading like wildfire, almost every government decided to temporarily shut down their country and make strict laws and regulations to stop the spread. With living with these new laws, everyone was forced to adapt to an entirely new lifestyle. Some people were outraged and pushed back, but others decided to make the most of it and that’s what we are here to talk about

There were many laws countries put forth to stop the virus from spreading. For example, countless of countries decided to make it mandatory to wear a mask whenever individuals enter any building or if you’re with a group people. Some people hated the concept of protecting oneself and instead protested against wearing masks. They pronounced that it would be cutting off their oxygen levels and are discriminated against if anyone said told them they had to wear a mask. However, many people made it into something fun and enjoyable to wear. That is how corona-fashion emerged. Recently, a lot of people have made their mask unique and beautiful while matching their outfit. In fact, model, Xinxin Chen, promoted a mask for a well-established company, Yoox. The mask was artistic by having black and white swirls that looked identical to her dress, which created a unique style. It’s so creative and unique that it is the first thing that my eyes land on when looking at her mask.

Since new masks are coming out and is becoming it part of a new trend, of course, celebrities are diving into this new world as well. Olivia Palermo, one of the most well-known fashion influencers out there, have been implementing stylish masks into her everyday fashion. Not only is it protecting herself from the danger that lurks in New York, but since she is a celebrity, she inspires others to wear a mask too. When looking at her fancy attire and mask on a catalog, I was inspired me to browse the internet for a fashionable mask as well! I heard many stories of people, especially kids, wanting to wear a mask due to their favorite celebrity wearing a mask. While I was waiting to get my nails done, the manicurist’s daughter walked in and said the strings around her ears hurt but wanted to wear the mask due to her favorite artist, Billie Eilish, wearing one during the Grammy Awards. So now, because of celebrities, little kids are diving into the corona fashion as well.

A good part about mask fashion or corona fashion, is how it relieves stress. This pandemic has made it immensely tough for people. Millions of people have lost their jobs, lost loved ones, or could have been personally effected by the virus. Diving into corona fashion has been a stress reliever for those who desperately need it. It provides a new hobby for them to immerse themselves into and forget about the war going on in their head. Who ever thought that a mask, during a tense time would be the thing everyone needs in order to relax.
