The Accountant Review

Gavin O’Connor is not a well-known director, but after watching his movie, I feel confident that soon his name will be known everywhere.

The Accountant is an action packed movie starring Ben Affleck as Christian Wolff, a man who suffers from autism. But this disease comes with benefits. He is able to solve mathematical equations faster than the average human being, and uses this skill to work with very powerful people, which some might say isn’t a good choice.

What sets The Accountant apart from any other movie this year is that it gives each character their own scene. What does that mean? Each character has their own section which explains their story and how they ended up as they did. The Accountant also delivers a balanced amount of brutal scenes and family friendly scenes. Unlike some movies, The Accountant displays a wide variety of different settings as the story unfolds.affleck-photo

Yes, every movie has its cons. The one thing that seems to upset some of the viewers I have spoken to is the fact that it leaves us with a cliff hanger, it left me wanting more: what happened to him, and where Is he going? It felt like they just cut him off, like if someone was writing a movie review and ran out of ideas so they just decided to abruptly cut……………………… it off.  A good movie should have a good closing with no mysteries, unless the director intends to make a sequel.

My rating of this movie would have to be a 3/5 stars, simply because of the lack of a good finish. Other than that, great start, great actors, and great action.
