The NBA finals are finally here and we have the best team in the East and the best team in the west. It’s a rematch between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors. The Golden state warriors look to win back to back championships over the Cavaliers. Last year the Cavaliers were defeated because of the injuries of their starting point guard Kyrie Irving and their forward Kevin Love. This year they are back and they are healthy, but it’s going to be hard to beat the 73-9 warriors.

Game one of the NBA finals was a blowout. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson had a quiet night and only scored 20 points combined. The Warriors were helped out by the bench and the shooting of Shaun Livingston. They scored 54 points in the paint and only had 9

turnovers. The Cavaliers got bullied down low in the paint and had 17 turnovers. Tyronn Lue, the Cleveland Cavaliers coach, said, “We need to speed the pace up in game 2”.

Game two was another blowout by the Golden state Warriors. They beat Cleveland 110-77. The Cavaliers took a tragic loss to their starting forward Kevin Love from an elbow to the back of the head from the Warriors’ forward Harrison Barnes. He suffered a concussion and left the game. The splash brothers had another quiet game but were lifted by Draymond Green’s 28 points. He had five 3 pointers, seven rebounds and five assist. LeBron James scored 19 points but that wasn’t enough to beat the Warriors. LeBron James said, “They just beat us. We didn’t win anything. There was no point in the game where we beat them in anything”. Tyronn Lue said, “We’ve got to be tougher.”

Game three was a different story. The Cavaliers came out strong and fast. They outscored the Warriors 33-16 in the first quarter. Lebron james, J.R smith, and Kyrie Irving combined for 82 points. The Cavaliers had a great game without their starting Forward Kevin Love. The splash brothers had another bad game and only combined for 29 points. Curry said, “I’m disappointed I didn’t do anything to help my team win tonight.”

Game four is Friday June 10. The Cleveland Cavaliers look to have another great game. Kevin Love is expected to play game four which would be good for the Cavaliers. The Warriors are hoping for better playing from Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson in game four.
